ACCESSIBILITY
STATEMENT
UPDATED — JULY 20, 2026 · AUGUST 11, 2026
LiveInRE is committed to making liveinre.com (the "Site") usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, or keyboard-only navigation.
Standard We're Targeting
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard most commonly referenced by U.S. accessibility law and guidance.
What We've Done — July 20, 2026
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on every link, button, and form field
- Text contrast checked and corrected against WCAG's 4.5:1 minimum for body and label text
- Motion, scroll inertia, and the animated cursor are disabled when your device's "reduce motion" setting is on
- Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers so they don't add noise; meaningful images and icons carry text alternatives
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a logical heading order throughout
- Enlarged touch targets on mobile navigation
What We've Done — August 11, 2026
The neighbourhood sections of both market pages were rebuilt. The following changes were made at the same time; everything listed above remains in place.
- The neighbourhood browser is operable from the keyboard — arrow keys move between areas, Enter or Space opens the selected one, and each card is a real button that reports its open or closed state to screen readers
- Every neighbourhood description, market figure and list is present in the page itself rather than being generated on interaction, so the content is available without JavaScript and does not depend on the carousel
- Animated text now always resolves to the real words. An earlier version could leave a heading stranded as random characters if the animation was interrupted — for example when the page was left in a background tab
- Animated figures always display their true value. A previous version could stop partway and leave a price reading as zero
- The "reduce motion" setting now also turns off the carousel's panel animation, the counting figures, and the wordmark reveal
- The market-selection homepage carries a heading for screen readers describing the page, since its content is otherwise conveyed visually
- Licence and brokerage details appear in the footer of every market page rather than only on some
