EL PASO, TX REAL ESTATE
THE SUN CITY, FROM ABOVE
El Paso, in short
The Franklin Mountains split El Paso, so "twenty minutes away" means something different depending on which side of the range you start from. The West Side sits against the mountains, the East Side spreads across the flats, and most new construction has gone east toward Socorro and Horizon City.
Fort Bliss puts a constant cycle of PCS moves through the city, on timelines nobody chose and often sight-unseen from another post. And El Paso is binational, which makes a bilingual transaction less a courtesy than the only way some deals get done properly.
Texas also runs its own forms and its own clock: a termination option instead of a due diligence period, closing through a title company, and property tax carrying what an income tax does not.
