CHARLOTTE, NC REAL ESTATE
THE QUEEN CITY, FROM ABOVE
Charlotte, in short
Charlotte is not one market. A dense uptown core sits inside neighbourhoods that were small towns before the city reached them, and two addresses fifteen minutes apart can mean a different school assignment, a different tax bill and a different buyer pool.
County lines matter more than newcomers expect — they set the tax rate and, in practice, the schools — and proximity to the LYNX Blue Line is a durable feature in a way a kitchen renovation is not.
North Carolina also transacts differently from most of the country: closings run through an attorney rather than a title company, and the standard contract carries a due diligence fee against a deadline enforced to the minute. That makes the calendar, not the negotiation, the thing that decides deals here.
